Hanoi, Vietnam, 18 October 2023: DHD audio ( announces the appointment of Danmon Asia as exclusive distributor for Vietnam. The agreement forms part of DHD’s strategy of offering local support to existing and potential customers around the world.

“DHD has a global reputation for ease of operation, high signal quality and robust build,” says Bjarne Pedersen, General Director of Danmon Asia. “The modular structure of its products is particularly appreciated by system integrators, especially those migrating from analog and SDI-based infrastructure to IP networking. Every DHD mixer has its own LCD display screen showing exactly which functions have been assigned to the adjacent control surface, all easily definable using the DHD Toolbox. Fully scalable to allow changes in workflow or system size, DHD systems are truly futureproof.”

“Danmon Asia is a very welcome addition to our distribution network and one which we are confident will be appreciated by existing and potential customers in Vietnam,” adds Christian Settele, International Sales Manager at DHD. “We look forward to working with Bjarne and his colleagues, providing any required consoles and processors as well as firmware upgrades and online technical or operational assistance whenever needed.”

The DHD product range extends from ultra-compact desktop mixers such as the DX2 and touchscreen-based TX2 to large control room consoles in the RX2 series with up to 96 faders. All DHD mixers share a logical and user-friendly control workflow which allows production staff to migrate easily from one control room to another within a single workflow style.

Cores, compact digital processors, form the heart of every DHD system, connecting control surfaces located in multiple studios or post-production suites within a specific site. They also perform input/output routing and interfacing with the outside world. IP audio feeds as well as IP-connected remote device control can be closely integrated. Automated workflows and virtualisation techniques are also supported.

ATG Danmon Completes Large-Scale Media Systems Integration Project for UK University

Letchworth, Hertfordshire, UK - November 8th 2022: ATG Danmon announces the completion of a large-scale media systems integration project for a leading UK university. The new resource is designed and equipped to support a wide range of courses in television and film content creation and post-production as well as research in media-related technology.

The project tender was issued in two phases. ATG Danmon was chosen as the systems integration contractor for phase 1 on the basis of its proven experience as a successful tier-1 contractor in the broadcast, educational and corporate communications sectors.

"Phase 1 centred on the installation of interfaces and cabling connecting ground floor, first floor, second floor, third floor and fourth floor media and studio spaces," says ATG Danmon UK Project Manager Howard Dixon. "Facilities integrated at this stage included wall-mounted facility panels allowing easy connection of auxiliary devices such as cameras, video monitors and projectors. Much of the work coincided with the construction of the actual building which necessitated special care in timing the various stages of installation. The coronavirus lockdown also required special care in workflow logistics and in sourcing components at a time of global shortage.

"Also forming part of phase 1 was the installation of the initial core services: sync generation, routing, distribution amplifiers, DMX lighting control, studio/gallery communications, audio-over-IP interfacing and network switching. Lighting support infrastructure was a large part of the overall fit-out for studio spaces and digital galleries. This included a combination of internally wired lighting bars providing power and DMX connectivity together with studio rail systems, perimeter curtain tracks and curtains.

"Following successful completion of phase 1, we were awarded the tender for the much larger phase 2. This included the design, installation and commissioning of two motion-capture studios, two greenscreen studios, a stop-motion studio, film studio, edit suites, a multipurpose studio, a colour grading and editing system, and related audio/video racks infrastructure. The final objective was to give students access to the technology they can expect to be using when they progress into media-related careers."

Core of Motion Capture Studio 1 is a Mo-Sys StarTracker camera tracking system which uses real-time optical guidance to allow efficient integration of electronically sourced scenery. The system integrated by ATG Danmon also includes a 4.6K camcorder from Blackmagic Design, a UHD vision mixer, UHD video/data recorders, and Cirrolite lighting with 5 x 5.5 x 4.5 metre support rigging.

Greenscreen Studio 1 and 2 are equipped to give students hands-on experience of the creative flexibility and production efficiency made possible by virtual studio production. Resources here include Kinoflo LED lighting, an ETC ColorSource lighting control desk, 4.6K cameras feeding a 20-input live production switcher, a 55 inch video monitor, 16-channel Yamaha digital audio mixer with Dante audio-over-IP interface, and monitor loudspeakers.

The Stop Motion Studio includes a Canon full-frame digital SLR camera, 16 adjustable-colour LED Fresnels and a range of lighting supports.

The Film Studio incorporates 12K digital film cameras plus a wide range of facilities for very high end content production. Among these are 20 LED luminaires, a 10-input production switcher, 16-channel audio mixer and Sennheiser wireless microphones. The film studio lighting facilities include nine Doughty lighting hoists and are controlled from a proprietary system supplied and installed by Cirrolite.

Six edit suites have been integrated, each equipped with a digital recorder capable of capturing 12-bit high dynamic range and up to 4K60p DCI. An integral SD card reader allows video and audio clips to be loaded directly into the system. Content can be archived to 128 gigabyte solid state memory. Each suite is also equipped with a Drawmer audio compressor, Genelec monitor loudspeakers and a Custom Consoles EditOne desk.

The Multipurpose Studio is equipped for a wide range of production-training roles. Technical resources here include a lighting control desk, 10 LED lighting panels, eight spot luminaires, 18 4-metre-wide lighting pantographs, a 55 inch UHD display and wireless intercoms.

Core of both the Audio Post Production and Critical Listening suites is a 32-fader SSL audio mixer with a Dante AoIP network-enabled interface plus additional interfaces and touch screens.

A Ross Video Ultrix 48 x 48 video router with audio de-embedding forms the basis of an audio/video racks room, complete with a routing control panel, 12G master reference and test signal generator, video equalising DA and MADI interface. SDI to optical interfacing is performed inside a 12G fibre converter.

"This is the latest in a series of projects we have completed for UK universities in recent years," summarises Jonathan Hughes, ATG Danmon Head of Systems Integration. "The media educational sector is a very healthy one which has responded well to the ongoing advances in technology at every point in the content capture, post-production and delivery workflow."

ATG Danmon (, part of the Danmon Group, is an international systems integrator and a world-class supplier of broadcast systems planning, design, installation and commissioning services. Customers include some of the world’s largest television and multimedia networks. ATG Danmon is also active in the educational and corporate sectors.
